Reading this at the airport in Luang Prabang, having travelled Vientiane to LP by train. The trip was so easy - smooth, on time. And a ticket reasonable (I think?) - 275,000 one way. The stations unbelievably large. This has been my first visit to Laos and - just as you did - I've been contemplating returning to stay for a month. This place has completely charmed me!
