A good thing about Hua Hin is that it is the easiest place to get a visa renewal. There is a visa office in one of the central malls and there was no one in the queue. I have a meeting in Bangkok at the end of the month, and will go to Chiang Mai after, so see you there!
We thought about going to Hua Hin but it didn't come highly recommended.
Yes it's just a city by the sea, I would spend time on an island if your time is limited in Thailand
If we get our current passport/visa issue straightened out before our visa expires on Thursday we've decided to head for Chiang Mai.
