Where to stay in Hua Hin, wildlife cruise in the Sundarbans, other Angkor ruins, train travel in Madagascar and Umbria, and more travel reads.
Hello from Ho Chi Minh City! I arrived back to discover that the 3-month tourist visa will return, so that will make a difference to my travel plans. One trip I want to do is to travel the different rail routes connecting Vietnam and China, so having a multiple-entry visa will be useful.
This week I have a guide for where to stay in Hua Hin. After spending a month in Hua Hin I got a fair idea of the different neighbourhoods. One thing that frustrates me about other “where to stay” guides is that they use keyword-optimised headings, like “best areas to stay for couples”, “best areas to stay for adventure seekers”, etc. None of these describes what the neighbourhoods are like, and I have no idea why a neighbourhood is specifically better for couples than singles.
