Travel Newsletter: 27 October 2023
Old airports of Southeast Asia, Cyberjaya, the car-free island near Bangkok, walking Tokyo, the Trans-Australian Railway, and more travel reads
Welcome to the Nomadic Notes Travel Newsletter, where I curate the best travel reads of the week.
In last week’s newsletter, I posted about the new airport of Siem Reap, and the closure of the original airport. This got me thinking about other closed airports in Southeast Asia, so I made a list. What I thought was going to be a standard listicle turned out to be an interesting little history lesson of old routes and a story of the Concorde.
