Croatia’s grand port city
Circumnavigating the UK and Ireland, Barcelona vs Airbnb, the business of retired jets, and more travel reads.
Greetings from Split! When I arrived in Croatia last month I didn’t have a solid plan for where to go, so I figured I would make my way to Split to get my second vaccination shot. It’s the second-largest city in Croatia, so my logic was that there would be more vaccination centres. It’s also closer to where I want to go next.
Croatia is offering free vaccinations to foreigners, and it turned out to be a relatively easy process. I feel better crossing borders fully vaccinated.
We have now crossed the equinox, and as we head into the northern autumn I find myself contemplating buying a jacket for the first time in a decade. I’m still planning a couple of weeks at a time, so I will see how long I last in cold weather.
