Where I’m At: Bangkok, Thailand. Latest Post: Dubai Metro. Travel Reads: Travelling with Europe’s nomadic shepherds, cycling the length of Africa, corgis on a plane, and more...
Greetings from Bangkok! It’s good to be back in my home away from home (away from home).
I was here this time last year when the country was still blowing off the cobwebs after reopening. I went to Khao San Road on that trip to find that many places had closed down. A news article this week says that Khao San Road is still struggling, so I will have another look.
This week I am doing a city construction report for Future Southeast Asia. One of the notable projects is (another) mall on Sukhumvit Rd. This one will have a concert venue on the roof, so I hope it is soundproofed!
Latest posts at Nomadic Notes
After finishing my Bali map project I have some other maps in the works. The research involves looking at other maps, which lead me to the Dubai metro. I’ve made a Google Map for every Dubai station, and I’ve also found the largest map available (which isn’t on the official site).
I am making these research notes as blog posts, and there will be some more metro posts coming up.
